RE: Seaward/Harbor Project Update

Our intent has always been to receive input from the community in order to create the best possible project. As discussed during the April PCC meeting, since receiving our HAP approval from City Council in February, Anastasi Development Company has been working hard with our team of architects and engineers and is nearly finished creating more detailed plans to submit to the City’s Design Review Committee.

The design review process in Ventura is typically lengthy and involves a series of meetings and redesigns so there will be plenty of opportunities to refine the plans. In anticipation of that prolonged process we’ve made the decision to submit our submittal application to the City at the same time we place the plans on the PCC website. Using this approach, we can respond to both community input and the DRC comments when we make our first round of revisions. This is a way to optimize everyone’s time and give creative format simultaneously while the City’s is processing comments.

Our goal is to begin the city and community review process early/mid May. We are making ourselves available for the next PCC meeting so that questions may be directed to Scott Anastasi; Dave Armstrong, Project Manager; and architect, Brian Cearnal. Hopefully, with our combined efforts, we insure a site that we will all be proud.
